How it all started
After becoming a Certified Lymphedema Therapist Betty quickly realized there are people all over the world in need of this information .
I had the image of a firetruck come to mind while I was in my CLT course. The firetruck analogy has stuck with me because I feel like people living with lymphedema but no guidance are aware their house is on fire but they don’t know the fire truck has been invented yet. CLTs are the firetrucks, and we can help.
About the host
-Betty is a Certified Lymphedema Therapist in East Texas. Since becoming a CLT in 2016 Betty has become passionate about educating others on Lymphedema.
-Betty is a member of the Texas Team advocating for the Lymphedema Treatment Act in Washington DC annually. In 2019 she launched the first summer camp for children with Lymphedema in the United States, Camp Watchme.
-In addition to educating others on Lymphedema, Betty loves to learn by attending seminars, symposiums, and training courses to increase her knowledge of Lymphedema. (Tune in for special Podcast episodes covering her most recent courses.) While listening to a podcast Betty was encouraged to create this podcast to better inform and educate others on Lymphedema.
